Walker's Pace: Top Five Showdown Set for Pepsi Meet - goducks.comPublished by
Saturday's Pepsi Team Invitational will officially be a top five women's showdown between No. 1 Oregon and No. 5 Texas A&M, as the first regular season USTFCCCA outdoor poll was released Tuesday. Not to be outdone, the men's competition will also feature a pair of ranked teams in the No. 6 Aggies and the No. 16 Ducks. The top five women's teams were the Ducks, Louisiana State, Clemson, Pac-12 rival USC, and A&M. Other Pac-12 teams in the women's poll included No. 14 Arizona, No. 19 Arizona State and No. 20 Stanford. In the men's poll, the top five was Florida, LSU, Florida State, Arkansas and Texas. Other Pac-12 schools in the rankings were No. 8 USC, No. 10 ASU, No. 12 Arizona and No. 19 Stanford. Oregon will host the inagural Pac-12 Championships May 12-13 at Historic Hayward Field.
